Description:
- Sterile, non-histotoxic, biodegradable, biocompatible, haemostatic,bacteriostatic and non-allergic, it is a monomer but when it comes in contact with moisture it gets converted into polymers.
- It rapidly forms a strong clear bond with tissue by chemical reaction of polymerization within one minute.
- It does not get absorbed into the blood stream.
- It is devoid of complications like secondary inflammation reactions which are commonly seen with conventional tedious procedure of percutaneous sutures.

Precaution:
- Single use only
- Liquid preparation of RekSeal must be used.
- Discard the ampoules containing viscous state of liquid tissue adhesive
- Do not allow the contact of tissue adhesive
- Antibiotic ointment or other topical preparation should not be used as they can weaken the polymerized film and lead to dehiscence.
- When changing the dressing, tape should not be placed directly over the RekSeal adhesive film, because removing the tape later may also remove the film
- Should not be used on for the closure of contaminated wound, wound with active bleeding,for vascular surgery and wound on the surface brain or central and peripheral nervous system.
